Every family is unique, and therefore every client’s project goals are unique. Let’s talk about your research goals.

Jessica’s work on behalf of my family gave us more than I could ever put into words. She gave us the names of enslaved ancestors, and now we can speak them; she helped us uncovered our roots, and now we can water them. I have never had a stronger sense of self or identity as I do now, thanks to her genealogical work.

Why personal family history is important

Genealogy research is a journey through our deeper family, allowing for the introspective rediscovery of ancestors lost in time. The knowledge of an ancestor’s struggles and triumphs enriches our own view of family, broadening perspectives and validating personal experiences. Family research grounds our own lives in history, deepening our understanding and appreciation of ourselves and the loved ones before us.

Helping my clients connect to the lives of their ancestors is the reason I work in genealogy. An experienced genealogist unveils their lives through a historical context, illuminating complexities and details far beyond a name in records. Learning about the past provides a rich backstory to our own experiences, adding depth and meaning to our futures.

I want family history to be accessible for my clients. I typically charge $60 per hour for family history research.

A historical photograph shows a family of four standing in front of a wooden house. The father holds a young child, and the mother stands beside a girl. The house appears small and rustic, with a pitched roof and a simple design.
